Eventing Disciplines for Intro, Pre-Novice & Novice Classes

Dressage at Mount Ballan will be held on grass arenas, and the Show Jumping will be held in the all weather arena.

Consequently the dressage tests will be in a more peaceful environment for young horses and cause less congestion than in previous years.

The Cross Country course runs through the farm land surrounding the Equestrian Centre, and some of the parkland attached to Caldicot Castle, which is owned by Monmouthshire County Council.

Mount Ballan has three courses. There will be a combination of fixed and portable fences on flat and undulating ground and the tracks include a water complex and road crossings.

Eric Winter has made several changes, particularly to the end of the course, Dave Thompson and Simon Grundy are the cross country fence builders. The aerovator will be used in all areas if necessary.
